A Sampling of Things to Come

This is a picture I took during Stage 17 of the 2006 Tour de France. For those of you who remember, it was the EPIC day Floyd Landis rode into the history books. Only later did we realize it was infamous, not famous. (I still have a hard time believing he did it, but that's another story.) My son and I had planned on being on the last climb of the day that fateful day, but we encountered closed roads (you have to be flexible when you follow the tour), so we camped out (not literally) on the Col de Columbiere, the penultimate climb. It was quite an experience. More to come.
